Tim Wilbur, Managing Editor
Tim is responsible for the news section of The Lawyers Weekly. He joined The Lawyers Weekly in 2005 as the focus editor. He is a lawyer called to the Ontario Bar, having articled a civil litigation firm in Toronto. While studying law at the University of Toronto, he acted as the news editor and legal issues editor for Ultra Vires, the law student newspaper.
Natalie assumed responsibility for the role of Focus Editor of The Lawyers Weekly in 2007. Prior to commencing her journalism career, she practised law for a number of years as a partner in a small firm. She attended Centennial College in Toronto for her journalism diploma while freelancing in the legal writing field, graduating with the highest standing in her school. After a year as an editor for a major consumer magazine, she joined The Lawyers Weekly. She lives in the Toronto area with her husband and three children.
Cristin has been with The Lawyers Weekly in both editing and reporting roles since its inception. She opened the newspaper's Ottawa bureau in 1988. She covers the Supreme Court of Canada, Parliament, and the gamut of law, including family law. She also regularly writes on legal issues for the general media and U.S. media, and reported from Kosovo and Afghanistan during those armed conflicts. She is a member, and former president, of the Canadian Parliamentary Press Gallery.
Tammy joined The Lawyers Weekly in 2008, taking on the responsibility of the newspaper’s overall design. She has over six years of publishing experience, first starting out designing for York University’s independent student newspaper, Excalibur. Her passion lies in editorial design, while she has a particularly strong interest in the area of typography.
Melissa joined The Lawyers Weekly in 2008, taking on the responsibility of the Business & Careers section. Prior to her journalism career she studied English literature and fine arts at the University of Waterloo. She started out reporting for her university's student newspaper several years ago and went on to earn a degree in journalism from Ryerson University. Melissa has since gone on to write and edit for a number of publications.
